Just as you are about to plummet to your death, activate the Propeller Suit and spin through the coin and to safety! Or if you're using multiplayer, jump down, then when you hit the Star Coin, press A to activate a bubble.

Below you'll find a serious challenge: to get the coin, you need to run at full speed off the ledge towards it.

Wait for the wind to die down and slide down to the nook where the pipe is. You'll find this one in a subterranean area accessible only via a pipe just under the halfway point flag. You need the Propeller Suit or multiplayer for this coin. Hit the Question Mark Blocks to extend vines that allow you to get to the coin and exit the area.
